Felixstowe Old Photos

'A picture of "Rupert" the miniature steam train that ran on the lawns along the sea front. It ran there from the late sixties by the man in the picture, Mr Collier I believe his name was. He rebuilt this Great western style Loco. with the help of a couple of friends and ran it until he retired. It was then purchased by the Threadwells, who had the arcade at the pier. It was run for a few years more until it was replaced by a petrol driven "Diesel train" in the mid 70's'
